Medical
Thanks to the medical unit (14th Medical Battalion) of Belgian Defence, 4 medical emergency stations will be deployed along the route every day, as well as one command post in the start and or finish area and two ambulances driving around the route. The locations are marked on the walker’s route map.
For urgent medical assistance, participants should call the emergency number 112. For non-urgent medical assistance, participants can call the phone number mentioned on their personal walking card.
The medical emergency stations and the ambulances are staffed by doctors, nurses and paramedics and will provide the necessary medical assistance along the route.
A broom wagon is also present on the route to help you further in case of immobilization.
Do not forget to report any accidents at the secretariat in order to fill in the declaration form for the insurance company.
Toilets
Portable toilets and sinks will be made freely available at different points along the routes.
The location of these sanitary facilities will be marked on the walker’s route map and indicated with signposting along the routes.
Adapted toilets will be available for participants with disabilities.
Additionally, participants can make use of the public facilities or, upon payment of a small fee, of the restrooms of the local bistros and restaurants.
In any case, we ask that you show due respect for nature and for the gardens adjacent to the routes.
