When pre-registering, after payment you will receive the electronic ticket (E-ticket) that you need to bring to the start zone where, after scanning the E-ticket, you will receive your personal walking card and accessories.
The transport is not obligatory, but provides bus transport from one of the 5 pick-up points to the start zone and back from the finish zone. The shuttle service costs €7 per day per participant. Only for the routes between the partner cities and the start/arrival you have to pay. All the other routes are at costs of the organisation. For example if you have a walking route of 8 km which is not built in the form of a loop, the organisation makes sure you can get free shuttle service back to the official starting area. The timetable of the buses can be found under the heading "Practical > Transport".
The participation fee includes insurance, medical care on the route, sampling and a souvenir. For the anniversary edition in 2023, a unique, one-off badge has been designed to highlight the 50th anniversary of the Four Days of the Yser.
